Recently, I retired from the Dallas County Juvenile Department as the Chief Psychologist to pursue full-time private practice. As the Chief Psychologist, I was responsible for over one-hundred clinical staff, creating and operating multiple clinical programs. My responsibilities included managing and supervising:
-
the detention center
-
two emergency shelters
-
an assessment unit
-
an outpatient family program
-
two sex offender residential treatment units
-
outpatient sex offender program
-
three male residential treatment units
-
residential and outpatient substance abuse units
-
the most prominent female trauma unit in the country
-
psychotherapy
-
psychological assessments
-
court testimony
-
consultation
Additionally, I supervised the 24/7 on-call department, staff training, and the student intern training program. The program drew psychology, counseling, and social work interns from the surrounding DFW universities, including SMU and UTSW.
I have also owned a private practice providing psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and court testimony for individuals and families for over thirty years. Currently, private practice is my sole focus. I bring extensive experience to your sessions for solution-focused results.
